While I did not have a chance to eat at The Farm Table Restaurant, across the street from where I was staying, I studied the posted menu and would certainly try it in the future. Especially after tasting the housemade sausage I purchased to take home.
The restaurant offers catering services and makes its own charcuterie. Behind the dining room, a freezer and refrigerator case are stocked with a wide selection of cured meat products. There seemed to be a specialty in duck charcuterie. I travel with a cooler bag and a couple freezer packs for opportunities like this. I bought Lamb and mint bulk sausage, Butifarra sausage and Duck ham.
So far I've had the Butifarra, a Catalan-style sausage seasoned simply with salt and sweet spices of nutmeg, allspice and clove. The butifarra was exceptionally delicious with great balance of flavor and texture. When I told the dinner guests that I still had the other items on hand, they clamored to be invited when I serve them.
The Farm Table has a club membership for regular offerings of its house products. However, it requires in-store pick-up or I would already be a member by now.
