Fancy Food Show Leftovers Sale

debby | Feb 18, 2005 09:58 PM

I went to the Fancy Food Show Leftovers Sale tonight thanks to a post here. Companies donated 30 pallets of items they didn't want to schlep home to Under One Roof who has them for sale. Most items were in the $1 - $5 range. Larger items (big bottles of olive oil)were more and smaller items (single candies) were less. There is no fresh food but all manner of canned, jarred and packaged goodies. Lots of sauces, dressings, jams, jellies, olives, chips, beverages, crackers & sweets. Things are organized by broad categories but you need to be willing to dig a bit. I think it is worth a trip. If you make food gift baskets it would be a goldmine. I have a feeling it will be crowded this weekend. They said that they will be continually restocking. It is located at 2344 Market Street in San Francisco, between Castro and Noe Streets. The hours are 10 am to 8 pm through Monday. Cash or charge only, no checks.
