Family trip to Paris with allergies

selena03 | Feb 19, 201809:50 PM

We will be travelling to Paris (from Vancouver) this March with 2 children (6, 11) who have food allergies to peanuts, pistachios, cashews, chickpeas, lentils, sesame, and buckwheat.

We were in Paris with the oldest in 2010 and restaurants that we really enjoyed were: La Ferrandaise (our favourite meal of the trip) and I believe the other favourite was called Fish but I can't remember for sure. We also liked Le Dome Bistro and Parc Aux Cerfs. We felt very comfortable at the restaurants mentioned because they were understanding of our daughters allergies and the food was good. My husband eats meat and I do not, so I particularly enjoyed the fish at all mentioned. Do restaurants in Paris mainly serve wild fish? Or do they use farmed fish as well?

Our young son is a very picky vegetarian who is happy to only eat cheese, bread, pasta, and vegetables. We would like to be able to have some fantastic meals with our children (at restaurants like the ones mentioned) but are also looking for a few recommendations for places that we can go to on our own as my mom will be travelling with us and will probably want to stay in some nights. For those it would be nice to go somewhere we wouldn't take our kids:).

We will be staying in the Marais. Some patisserie recommendations would also be good for breakfast but I am worried about cross contamination so if there are any places that you think may be careful about these things, I would love to know about them. We will be doing at day trip to Giverny and will be having lunch there. A restaurant recommendation would be helpful. Thank you in advance.
