my family has a strange tradition when we are sick.

Since I was a little girl, every time I got sick my mom would either poach or soft boil eggs, put them in a mug, and pour in some cider vinegar, this would be served with some buttered or dry toast. My dad thinks this is disgusting, and none of my mother's siblings seem to do this. I have no clue where she got this from, but I know I will be doing it the rest of my life. Does anyone eat this?
