I usually don't ask for dinner recs and usually stick to asking about cheap eats for breakfast and lunch, but a family is looking to dine with us. A nice sit down dinner for two families with kids. Their kids are well behaved but not as adventurous as ours.
I know many places have kids menus, chicken fingers and stuff, and most just go chain, Applebee's etc., but we were hoping for food fit for adult consumption as well as kid friendly fare.
A place that bills itself as a 'family restaurant' would be ideal. One that doesn't have tables around a bar like Applebee's, for example. And preferably not an upscale, intimidating, fancy restaurant that will cater to the occasional kid that may come in with adults.
All we came up with so far is Steve's Piccola Bussola in Westbury, as they serve "family style", if not exactly a 'family restaurant', per se. But if the family chooses other than Italian, where do we go? (please no Asian either ;-)
Thank you all for your recs in advance!
Peace.
