Whenever I see a recommendation on an interesting restaurant anywhere in the country, I'll add it to a list I keep even though I may have no idea if I'll ever get to that geographic location. One of these places was Our Family Restaurant in Campbell, which was highly recommended on this board. Well, I finally made it Campbell and was driving down Hamilton Ave. with visions of juicy dumplings in my head. However, as I drove up to the location to my horror I saw the signs "Grand Opening," "Fast Food," and "Combo Special." Unfortunately, Our Family Restaurant has been replaced by steamtrays, so I didn't bother to go in. I then headed up to Cupertino to my all time favorite named Chinese restaurant, Cuisineer Six on Stevens Creek Bl. Alas, Cusineer Six was also gone, replaced by House of Sichuan. The greatest tragedy is that I'll never find out what exactly is a cuisineer. My curiousity was so piqued that I actually once did a Google search for "cuisineer"--but every single reference was to that restaurant.
