Family-friendly non-chain Niagara Falls lunch & dinner options?

jroach | Apr 24, 201610:22 PM     9

Hello! I am in the throes of planning our family vacation during which we will spend 2 days in the Niagara Falls area. We will be staying at a B&B in Stevensville, ON, so breakfast is already covered. Looking for lunch, dinner & snack (ice cream? coffee/pastries?) options in the Niagara Falls area (Canadian side) with our 3 year old and 7 year old children. We would be looking for places with high quality food and casual atmosphere. Non-chain preferred, unless there happens to be a particularly good local chain that's recommended. From what I understand, Niagara Falls is teeming with chains.

I reviewed some older Chowhound threads and have added Regal Diner, Syndicate and Paris Crepes to my list, as a result. Are these still good choices? What others out there would be worth considering?

Thanks!
