Falafel at Mazza Plaza in Bay Ridge

Ian | Feb 13, 2003 02:33 PM

Just wanted to chime in and say that I've had some great falafel the last few weeks at Mazza Plaza, on 5th Ave. and 80th St. in Bay Ridge. I went there originally for the cigar store across the street but then got hooked on their falafel and have been back three times since.

It's wrapped in homemade bread and served with much more than the standard lettuce and tomato that run of the mill places use, including garlic pickles and beets (all optional). It's $2.50 for one sandwich that's pretty large. I order two and leave half of one over.

Other stuff there looks good too and the prices are reasonable, but all I've tried is the falafel.
