Dropping by Fairfax Scoop after my Puerto Rican lunch, I was surprised and delighted to find that the number of flavors each day has expanded to 12 from eight! And, includes one soy-based offering as well. Today's was grasshopper made with mint, colored with spirulina, and flecked with Newman's own cookie crumbles. I didn't try it, focusing instead on the chocolate. Neither the chocolate nor the chocolate hazelnut were that satisfying, made with cocoa powder.
I had the ever-popular vanilla honey lavender and the rum raisin in a freshly made waffle cup. Made with high butterfat organic milk and cream, organic ingredients, and only a bit of egg (less than 1% in the base) as emulsifier, these have intense flavor and a decadent richness that satisfies the ice cream craving.
