Fairfax Brew Pub/Craft Beer

Washington DC Craft Beers Beer Fairfax

We are traveling down to the DC area and staying in Fairfax at the Marriott Fair Oaks. I was wondering if there was a decent gastro pub that had good craft beer available. The food has to be as good as the beer if not better. Thanks!

Lewes There is a Dogfish Head brewpub in Fairfax, or Sweetwater Taverns in both Centreville & Falls Church.

If you can get to Mad Fox in Falls Church, they had decent food last time we were there (a while ago, though) after a kitchen change. You'll enjoy the beer at both, though.

Agreed re Mad Fox. Dogfish is worth a visit for the beer, not so much the food, though it's good enough. If you're willing to go out a bit further in NoVa there's Lost Rhino in Ashburn and Ocelot Brewing in Dulles. Ocelot is relatively new and making good beers.
