And it won't be our last - I made reservations for Friday night, but when we got to the restaurant there were two (2) other people there. A table of 4 came in before we left, but boy, I hope these guys hold on!
While waiting for our son (who thinks sausage is a major food group), we ordered linguica flamed with brandy as an app. The presentation amde us laugh: a monogrammed pottery bull with flaming brandy in it's belly, under a grid with a nice sized link of linguica. Our son found the place just in time, and loved the sausage.
I got the pork and clams - a very big bowl of clams, chunks of tender pork, topped with cubes of deep fried potatoes - in a very tasty tomato/wine sauce. Even with my son's help, we brought home at least 2/3's of the serving. Yuumm, breakfast! My husband (who did eat a stuffed squid once) got the 14 oz sirloin - 14.95? for a 14 oz nicely grilled steak, served with rice and home made potatoe chips. My son ordered a Portugese beer and Bife à Fadista: a fliet mignon layered with something like prociutto, in a mustard wine sauce - $14.95, with the rice and potatoes! The guys loved the food. The kid and I want to come back and try all the bacalao, and octopus and... We were so full, I didn't even ask about dessert, but there were none on the menu.
I can see eating here once a week - or at least dreaming of the tastes!
