faculty candidate Interview dinner choices

professorMOMO | Jan 7, 201501:34 PM     50

At the University, when candidates for faculty positions come to town to interview, those of us hosting them get a chance to simultaneously impress these people, and get some darn good SD grub- on the school's tab, of course. I'd like to give these people a few options to choose from (a Mexican/Latino, an Asian, an Italian, and a trendy/fusion/other) Here are my criteria: it should be darn good food, it should not be too loud (we need to hear one another), it should have a decent wine selection, the ambiance doesn't have to be fancy, but it should not be a dive, we should pay between 25 and 55 bucks a head per person (dinner, wine, & tip), it should be no further east than La Mesa, no further north than Mira Mesa, and no further south than Barrio Logan. I can't wait to see what you all suggest.
