I just got Fuchsia Dunlop's book on Sichuan cooking. In it, she mentions "Facing Heaven" chiles, describing the fragrant but not explosively hot flavor and the incomparable red color it gives to the cooking oil. Does anyone know where such chiles could be found, either in Chinatown or north of the city along Rt 128? Any hints on brands, what to look for, etc., would be helpful as I'm Chinese language-challenged.
