Christmas eve at Fabulous Noodles was not a crowded time. Wife and I went for dinner and were somewhat disappointed. Several posts have praised their barbequed pork, so I tried it with mixed vegetables. OK, but not at all memorable or exciting. Rather bland. Wife ordered their House Special with broad noodles (fried a bit to add flavor) but it too was nothing to write home about. We liked their Ginger Beef on a previous visit, but you can't order that every time and learn what they are good at.
Can someone recommend other dishes they think are really worthy of the good reviews so many Chowhound regulars have written about Fabulous Noodles? What are we missing?
We were also put off by the fact that the waitress took our cash payment and did not return with change. We dislike this approach and see it far too much. It's annoying when wait staff say "do you want change from this"? Of course I do! Let me then make whatever gratuity I prefer afterwards. But at FN, she didn't ask, just kept it. I asked for the change before leaving.
