There are restaurants around the world that offer unusual experiences that can rarely, if ever, be had anywhere else. Over my years of travel I've had dinner in a Michelin starred restaurant which was literally crafted out of a 2000 year old Roman Furnace north of Genoa ( http://www.chowhound.com/topics/262344 ) and a rice mill in Italy where eight or nine courses all included arborio. I've heard stories about a restaurant in Cologne where diners ate in total blackness and were served by blind waiters and waittresses. I also know of a restaurant near Salzburg, Austria that is built in a WW II bunker with a fifty seat communal table and has a Michelin star. All of these offer memories of an experience that simply cannot be found anywhere else.
Has anyone reading this had a truly incredible meal in an extraordinary restaurant?
