OK, I'll admit to being turned-off at a young age to almost all "Oriental-type" cuisine. Mostly due to the awful American-Chinese foods of the 1950's, ie: soggy, greasy-fried sweet & sour meats, horrid thick & gummy/soggy noodles & boring fried rice.
Anyway, I've never tried Korean, Japanese, Thai foods. None is available in the central CA town I now live in.
So, IF I decide to try something new on my trip down to OC---what should it be? I'm traveling with my son (24) who loves almost any kind of good food.
I'm not a picky eater otherwise, just have never tried Thai.
