Expensive Vegetarian in Austin

I went to Mother's Cafe for for lunch for the first time in a long time (about 5 yrs) and was taken aback at the menu prices. How can you justify a $9 mushroom stroganoff for lunch that doesn't even include salad? I don't eat beef but I wouldn't pay that much for a regular stroganoff with meat. Other entrees are about the same price. Other high-priced vegetarian-friendly places also come to mind: Eastside, West Lynn...

Can anyone recommend any vegetarian places around that are not so expensive yet also not just beans and rice taco places? (I can't stand beans and can't take too much spicy heat.) Thanks!
