I saw a large 3kg wheel of Président Brie in the deli case of Firehouse deli, behind the pasta salad and cole slaw, and it looked very out of place. It reminds me of how Miami Subs carried a bottle of Dom Pérignon in each restaurant. That was a gimmick, and it worked: they got a lot of press.
Have you seen similar situations - expensive items in cheap places? I'm not talking about the Truffles at Safeway, I'd buy one of those.
