Have some foreign business friends coming in from Taiwan next weekend. They want to go out to dinner for something "exotic". There could be something lost in the translation here but I think that means something unusual and distinct as opposed to fried Yak brains. I obviously want to stay away from Asian foods since they probably eat that most every day. They are not strangers to the USA or the Northwest so I can't get away with just the "local cuisine" angle.
Any suggestions? I would prefer to eat on the East Side but realize I'll most likely have to go to Seattle for something that fits the bill here. The food should also be excellent and the atmosphere not too noisy. Please help.
