Exceptional situation

OK, I realize this is hard to believe, but I do not lie. My wife is the most amazing woman on the planet, but she cannot taste. As a result of a very recent medical intervention, she has had that extremely important sense restored over the past 2 weeks. We expect our good fortune will last about another month. To top it all off, our wedding anniversary is April 5. We are lucky enough to be in NO from March 31-April 5. She has never before, but always wanted to, visit that great city. I have promised her a culinary blowout that she will never forget, and I need some help: First, we have hotel reservations at the International House. Any comments? Should we eat at the hotel restaurant (Lemongrass something)? We have reservaions for Bacco (she loves Italian), GW Fins (I love seafood), NOLA, Palace Cafe (Sunday Brunch), and Herbsaint. We plan on Galatoires (no reservations) for either Friday or Sunday lunch. Am I missing anyplace where she absolutely MUST eat? Where would you eat if you might never taste again? We are casual people (Miller Lite, burgers, steak, dry/light red wine, seafood, potatoes). We both want the best food without pretense. Can you help me? I am absolutely not making this up, and she deserves the best.
