Excellent Tongue at El Mexicano Jr. in Manchester

Nick Smith | Jul 8, 2005 09:56 AM

I had an excellent meal at El Mexicano Jr. in Manchester on Wednesday. The lengua (tongue) in a green chile sauce was just beautiful: tender, flavorful, and serve with quality fixins. The gaucamole was hand made on order.

This place is a no frills real deal. The menu includes many authentic dishes which I look forward to trying (pig's foot, carne asada, mole, carnitas, chicnarrones, all that). They also bake their own bread, and there is a Mexican gorcery across the street.

The proprietors were welcoming and spoke perfect english. Give these folks your business. This is a jewel of New Hampshire.
