I will now always pay attention to melting the butter first.

OTOH, I've never greased or lined a pan; there is so much butter in the candy it doesn't have a chance to stick. I do cook it per my handed-down (Hershey's?) recipe to 320 degrees.

Going to try a coffee flavor this year by adding an envelope of Starbuck's new instant, Via.
