Excellent cooked stuffed poultry -- yum!

The other day at Tower Market there was a fellow from King Chicken of Alameda offering tastes of his turducken -- delicious!! It's available by special order at Tower as are all their other products. However, they also handed out a flyer that listed their website (I've linked it below) and a pricelist. These are relatively inexpensive considering how labor-intensive these products are to make and how expensive some of the ingredients are. An 18-20 pound cooked "TurkeyDuckChicken" -- there were 4 varieties including a delicious one that included andouille sausage and a "gumboed" one that includes oysters in the stuffing -- costs $65.00. They also sell prepared cornbread stuffings, stuffed turkeys, ducks, chicken and geese, and a number of sauces -- we tasted the bourbon sauce which was very good.

You can print out an online form (pdf) and fax it to them and then pick up your order at Rosenblum Cellars in Alameda, or you can call them and find out at which markets they are available -- only SF Bay Area.

It's a good Thanksgiving alternative for those who don't like to cook.
