So I'm 10 days into my month in Italy (Emilia Romagna and Liguria regions to be exact) and it's already quite clear even modest trattoria's are better than even the best American Italian restaurants I've been to thus far.
Are there any restaurants in the bay area that can compare to what I'm eating here?...if youre familiar of course. Are there any that are known for being especially authentic?
