I stumbled across this place yesterday. I'd never been there, but because of Chowchat, the name was familiar. Looking at Zagat today, I see they give it an 18, which seems to me a serious underrating. What are people's opinions?
I had vegetarian mock duck, which was as good as I've ever had it; Shanghai-style shao mai, stuffed with pork, mushroom, and sticky rice; and a dish called something like "Pork in Earthenware Pot" that I ordered simply because it sounded interesting and was noted as a one-person dish. It was lovely: A square of pork with a half inch of luciously soft meat below a thick layer of fat, serve over steamed pea greens. I'm not a pork fat kinda guy myself, but this was heavenly.
