We spent a very enjoyable evening on Kedzie/Lawrence last Friday after great day at the zoo and the beach. Our family of five split a chicken shwarma from the Shwarma King as an 'appetizer'. Out friend the King was on again Friday, unfortunately his business wasn't, as has been reported before. No other patrons were seen while he made our sandwich or the three time we walked by later on.
We followed up with a wonderful meal at Noon-O-Kebab. FYI, while they don't list themselves as BYOB on Metromix, you can for a very small corkage fee. Dessert followed at VI's area favorite, the sweet shop accross the street, next to Salam. We sampled some of everything in the cases. We really like everything except two similar items which looked like honey-soaked cornbread. I couldn't catch the name.
We then went to Andy's Fruit Ranch. I wanted to get some pomegranate molasses, based on Joan's and others comments. Unfortunately, no got according to five employees, including the manager. I found some the next day, in of all places, Mundelein, at Garden Fresh. My question is how to you ues the pomegranate molasses?
