evening in Buffalo--local color and/or just good eats. Fish fry?

Hi-

We're going to Buffalo for the evening to see a show at UB next Friday. I've looked at some older posts on this board, and I have some ideas for brewpubs, beef on weck, and wings.

Since I like to have lots of options, I thought I'd ask for any more suggestions. Some people mentioned the Friday night fish fry, but not any specific places. Does anyone know the best fish fry? (You know ... super fresh fish, crisp-on-the-outside and tender-on-the-inside fries, crunchy slaw, or whatever the correct sides are...)

I'm also open to other suggestions for the best places to go for a taste of the City, for people who don't want to spend a fortune, but who like good food.
