l work nights, so lunch [breakfast for me, really] is kind of the only chance for me to explore places to eat. Despite having been living in the EV for a number of years, l only recently learned of Cafe 81, the Filipino place on E7th St. Unfortunately, they're not open for lunch, but it got me wondering: what other tasty delights might l have been missing out on in the EV/NoHo/Upper LES?

Some of my faves include Downtown Bakery, Zabb Elee, Momofuku/Ssam, Misoya, Xi'an, Luke's, Gaia Cafe, Malai Marke...where else does deliciousness lie a short walk from 1st Av & 5th St.?

Downtown Bakery
Momofuku Ssäm Bar
Momofuku Ko
Misoya
Luke's Lobster FiDi
Luke's Lobster Midtown East
