European delights

There have been some great suggestions on this board
with regard to regional foods or food quirks in the US
such as Johnny cakes from RI, Moon cakes / goo goo
bars from KY etc., however a contribution of thoughts
by the Madrileño CH, butterfly on a post below in
relation to marzipan made with marcona and largueta
almonds, along with other Spanish delights such as
turron, polvorones, mantecadas, leads me to start a
thread on ''European delights'' so please name the
Country/Region and the food or ingredient.

Spain - Marzapan made with marcona y largueta almonds
Turron, polvorones, mantecadas

Spain/ Murcia -Saffron
Spain / Seville - Seville Oranges (fruits also allowed)

Spain -Andalucia -pesca con sal (fish in rock salt),
a speciality around Tarifa

Italy -Olives & Oil, Parmisano Reggiano (Modena/Italy)
Parma Ham

France -foie gras du canard / pate de foie gras

Belgium -Chocolates
Portugal - Pastéis de nata

Switzerland/Savoyardes region: Chocolates (Lindt),
Cheese: Beaufort/Comte/Emmenthal, Tartiflette,
