Ethiopian Restaurant Report

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and e-mails about where to take my sister, husband, and three kids (age 12, 9, and 7) for Ethiopian Food. They have lived in Kenya for the last seven years and eat Ethiopian food there at least once a week. They're in the US for home leave, and by the time they got to Seattle it had been 7 weeks since they'd had Ethiopian Food, and they were craving it.

I found a website that lists all the Ethiopian restaurants in Seattle with her reviews and links to maps

We ended up at the Enat Deli on Pinehurst in North Seattle. When we called to make sure they had some favorites on the menu, and to get directions, the owner grabbed one of her customers, put him on the phone, and he told us "You gotta come here, the food is great" It is a little place, and the kids starting saying 'oh, it looks like an Ethiopian Restaurant, the music sounds like an Ethiopian Restaurant, and it smells like an Ethiopian Restaurant". There was one other customer in the place who got us menus when she came in and said "I'm a friend of the owner", and there was a steady stream of people for take-out while we had dinner. We had - for six people - two vegetable combinations, and two meat dishes, and my sister's family gave it thumbs up. I found the food delicious and will eat there again. The veggie combo had three kinds of lentils, greens cooked with onions, lettuce, and a cabbage dish.
