Essteele range cookware - is this normal?

CakerMaker | May 8, 2014 09:03 PM

I just bought some Essteele pots/pans as we're upgrading with a bunch of gift vouchers we got after having had our abused Circulon ones. They are all stainless steel with a copper base. I followed the manual instructions (wash with soft detergent, stand in bicarb/water solution mix for 20 mins before use to remove the protective coating on the copper, washing off with cold water, dry completely etc). Cooked some bacon and eggs in the pan the other day and then cleaned as instructed (paper towel to get the bits of food/grease off) and then washed in warm water with detergent and dried off. I had to work to get the pans clean but did not scrub with a scourer only a soft dishcloth. I don't know how to describe it but the inside of the pan has like a mottly water marked look to it now. Not sure if this is normal or not after use? I have only bought two pans so far as a tester before going out to get the whole range.
