Essene Cafe

Anyone eat at the Essene Cafe inside the Essene Natural Foods store?

They have alot of selections in their buffet line - all vegetarian and macrobiotically oriented, definitely very healthy looking. The food is priced at $7.99/lb, and since most of the food in trays looks to have substance/heft, I can't imagine anyone getting a small plate of some food and having it cost any less than $7 or $8.

I've never eaten there and wonder how others enjoy that food and what the average price of a plate of food is. I thought if I took enough for a nice selection of moderate quantity, the plate would cost near $10. For very high quality food, maybe that's reasonable, particularly if the meal was taken during dinner..

Last time I was there, there had to have been at least ten main meal dishes and side dishes, each of which most people would never dream of making due to their complexity and ingredients.
