Escarole - to parboil or not? Urgent

I've not made escarole at home before and was craving it. Been checking out some recipes for a simple sautee with garlic and crushed red pepper. Some require parboiling for 8-10 minutes, others have you put it directly into the pan.

What should I do? Help please!
