Been there many times. Last night was very disappointing and I won't be back. Ordered cubed steak with vegetables. I've had it before and its been fine. This time the steak was chewy, tough and impossible to eat. I told the waiter, he removed the dish, came back and said there was nothing he could do about it. I asked to speak to the manager who took 10 mins to come to our table. He was insistent there was nothing wrong with it, that its the same steak they always have and told me the chef said it was fine. He was obstinate and basically let me know that I would have to pay for the dish. I then asked to speak to the owner. The manager came back to tell me they had finally reached the decision to not charge me for it. Has anyone ever been in a position where the manager of a restaurant had an ongoing dialogue with you insisting that the dish was edible and that the patron pay for it?
