epicurious.com...running into the drain

SarahInMinneapolis | Mar 28, 201409:15 PM     8

Presumably, many readers and posters here are familiar with this site. I've relied on it and valued the recipes and the commenters there since the beginning.

But the blog. Wow. I think it has gone seriously downhill. Anyone else and what's the problem?

In my view, what's wrong:

One, weird, desperate attempts to be clickbait. Two, the NYC focus, particularly Brooklyn (can we be done with Brooklyn, now?). Three, just plain bad writing. Four, bad grammar. Is there any editor anywhere and who is that person? Five, schilling for products and not being clear about the paid-for-advertising aspect.

What a disappointing turn of events. I've loved this site for years. It is being ruined.

I get the need to monetize. But be transparent!
