New England Lobster Market & Eatery, Burlingame Report w/ PICS

hhc | May 20, 201409:29 PM

I've been wanting to try New England Lobster Market & Eatery for a while now, and just last minute decided Mon 5/19/14 to go after work.

Traffic wasn't too bad on Hwy 101. Found the place fine using the GPS in the car. Parking available on street & in the back of the restaurant.

Only 1 cashier so the line can get long. Food tastes a little time to get, but pretty fast.

We got:

Naked lobster roll $17.50 - comes with house-made chips, I didn't try them but B. said they were really good. Coleslaw on the side was pretty good. Lobster roll was fine, lots of meat, bun felt a bit too big for all the meat. Butter on the side I didn't really need it.

Dressed lobster roll $17.50 - lobster tossed in mayo & whatever, it was ok, I think the Naked lobster roll is better. Comes w/ house made chips & coleslaw.

Cup of Manhattan $7 - B. didn't like it, it looked like red veggie soup. Slice of their butter bread.

Cup of lobster corn chowder $7 - I liked it, creamy, not a lot of lobster, some corn, but it was still tasty. Bread I found a bit hard.

Happy Hour Menu is at the Market side, order there. I didn't notice until after we finished eating. M-F 3-6pm
Clams: Top Neck or Little Neck $1.50 ea! Worker told me Little Neck suppose to be smaller & sweeter.
Oyster $1.50 - Blue Point oyster from James River VA
Beers: $3
Wine $5

Sold at Market side - Oyster Knife $4; Lobster cracker $4, etc.

Charge it. Separate bathrooms available. Inside & outdoor seating available.
