Engagement in the North End III

Thanks to all of you who offered suggestions for my engagement dinner(MC Slim JB, Limster, Karen, et al). First, she said "Yes!". I proposed in the open area between the two main buildings at Fanueil Hall; had a second couple in on the charade to insure I got it in pictures, and shared our joy with about 50 onlookers who knew what was happening as I was a guy on one knee with a ring in my hand talking to a girl who was crying (tears of joy, mind you!). When she said "yes", there was lots of applause, handshakes and hugs, most from total strangers! It was a very cool moment. Second, Mamma Maria's was all it was cracked up to be. As I had made a reso explaining the occasion, a 2nd floor table for 4 at the window overlooking North Sq was reserved, complimentary champagne was served! The Rabbit pasta was to die for, Pork entree was great, Lobster pasta spectacular, the Arugula salad was very good, the grilled Endive salad was just good, their version of onion soup was superb. Our server was always there when we needed him, AND he had a personality (not always found in servers these days...). Overall, Mamma Maria's - Pricey? Sure. But given the overall experience, it's highly reccomended. Thanks again for all of your suggestions!
