Re-enameling Le Creuset Questions

I have several Le Creuset cooking utensils and some of them are beginning to show interior wear: a thinning here, a tiny scrape there, etc. Questions: is there a sanitation concern with tiny chips on interior enamel exposing the iron? Can these utensils be easily and inexpensively redone, or is this a specialized and arcane process that will be costly? And, what kinds of places do such work?

I am especially anxious about my large #30, so great for braising, stews and soups for a group, and so on.
