after several visits now i have to say the fresh warm tofu appetizer is positively addicting. ditto playing with the 3 choice sochu tasting.
last visit we had the salted beef tongue and red snapper nitsuke (simmered in soy) mains. the fish was fine, but wow on the beef tongue dish, it's just fantastic. for a side we had the grilled onigiri rice balls (takanu & jyako). super tasty! this was plenty for two.
it is fairly expensive, but i am loving diving into the menu --- especially since my former neighborhood japanese fav ZUTTO dropped off big time. i read EN is an izakaya mini-chain of some sort, i'm glad they are here. so give EN a try if you haven't yet!
