Empanadas at Tango Gelato On Fillmore

Tango Gelato has added 3 kinds of empanadas to their wonderful gelato offerings. They have Beef, Chicken, and Tuna. We tried the Beef and Chicken. Both were very good, altough we prefered the chicken. The crust is substantial and tasty. The beef has ground beef, chopped egg, and an olive in it. The olive is whole and in the center. I think I would have prefered it to be chopped and mixed with the rest of the filling.
The chicken filling was chunks of chicken and vegetables. The empanadas are $2.50 each. You can eat them there or take them home frozen.

They make a good snack or a couple with a gelato for dessert is not a bad lunch.
