Emergency pizza sauce

We made a quick pizza last night with Whole Foods dough. Have been using TJ's Marinara sauce as a pizza sauce - it's pretty good - but we were all out, so I had to improvise. I drained the juice from a can of Redi-cut tomatoes, dumped it in the food processor, added about three heaping spoonfuls of TJs sundried tomato pesto and a little kosher salt and processed till it was smooth. Topped it with shredded cheese, nothing else. Delicious!

The unhappy ending...we each had a couple of slices of the pizza while watching a movie on TV. When I went into the kitchen to get a second helping, I was greeted by my dog slinking out of the kitchen. You guessed it - nothing left but a couple of spots of tomato sauce on the floor. And dang, that was one good pizza!
