The Emerald - Chinese Restaurant

chickinthecity | May 12, 200403:20 PM

OK, chowhounds, I am asking you to think back a few years now!

On about 5700 N. Bryn Mawr, (NW Chicago) near Cumberland, there was a Chinese restaurant called "The Emerald". It was on the first floor of a high-rise business complex, I think the Sprint building. They had the BEST crab rangoons I've ever tasted, perfectly crispy on the outside, creamy crab inside. Mmmm.

This restaurant has long since closed, but I've heard that the owners opened another restaurant in the Western suburbs somewhere, not neccisarily with the same name. If I had one of those crab rangoons, I'd be so happy!

Any information you have would be so helpful!! Thank you!
