Embryonic Chickens

keith koenigsberg | Jul 23, 199903:52 PM     7

On a recent trip to China, I spied but was too
squeamish to eat, at some night-market tables, what I
can only describe as Barbequed Embryonic Chickens
on Skewers.

I'm kicking myself for not trying this piece of
weirdness when I had the chance. I curse my
Western sensibilities, what with opportunity only
knocking once, and all. The iron is now cool.

Other delicacies included
-what tasted like colon-stew (could not finish this)
-bugs that looked like scorpions on skewers (crunchy!)
-fat grub-type creatures (avoided these)

Does anyone know of anyplace with this type of exotica
in NYC?
