Has anyone had a 3 choices + rice lunch for $ 2.75 at The Deluxe Food Market at 79 elizabeth street. I went today and had some mustard greens + stuffed pepper + steamed minced pork( which was a bit salty with the perserved vegetable) and a homemade soup .50 cents extra.
it was great for $ 2.75 Its really a place to shop but the lunch is so satisfying for the price. the Jook is .75 cents and a bread curller for another .50 cents is nice.
going back to try the roast pig as it comes out whole fresh from being barbcued and fresly slaughtered. The chinese really emphasise Freshness. Very native NYC chinatown.
walk thru the entire store over to Mott street then there is a coffe shop on mott street that has coffee and a bun for ,90 cents for both, the old Italian guys in the hood like to go there too.
