Eleven Madison Park-review

If you are looking for amazing food matched with friendly service (with added personal attention), you MUST dine at Eleven Madison Park. I went there twice during Restaurant Week and had such a terrific experience. Although Restaurant Week is over, I guarantee it is worth your experience in NYC to eat at Eleven Madison Park. Even dining there on a regular basis, the menu changes often so you are always in for a treat!

Week 1 Restaurant Week
For appetizers, the Mushroom Flan is to die for. I took several of my co-workers for lunch, who also loved it. They are not even mushroom lovers, but they could really appreciate the delicious taste of the mushroom and texture. We each ordered different appetizers so that we could taste as many different things as possible and we loved them all.

The Seafood "Borscht" with squid, octopus, braised red cabbage and creme fraiche was such a perfect blend.

For the entree, the fish dishes (i.e. Mackerel and Trout) were so scrumptious! The executive chef, Kerry Heffernan, is a big-time fly fisher and really knows how to prepare a delicious fish. The dishes are prepared with a perfect mixture of sauce, color and taste.
The saute of beef and portobello mushroom "Stroganoff" with parslied basmati rice and broccoli rabe was the perfect texture. We shamelessly cleaned our plates, not leaving a drop.

Week 2 Restaurant Week
During the second week, the menu changed and I tried the new items that were just as amazing. The green peppercorn-seared Mahi Mahi was amazing, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

The desserts are so incredible, too, if you love chocolate... you are in for a treat with the espresso chip ice cream terrine.

Feb 14 Valentine's Day
I will be taking my boyfriend to Eleven Madison Park for Valentine's Dinner and I know that he will be super impressed. We are going to enjoy the chef tasting and for dessert we will definitely have the chocolate souffle. I am looking forward to watching them pour the warm chocolate sauce in the middle. I can't wait! My mouth is watering already!

[Since this will be such a serious dinner, maybe the boyfriend will see how serious I am with him. As they say, a way to a man's heart is through his stomach! I promise you that the food is amazing... no doubt that we will enjoy eating at Eleven Madison Park and crave to go back!]
