The Mrs. and I had a very enjoyable lunch today. The Mrs. had the aquatic tasting menu, I the spring. She started w/a perfectly cooked daurade sauteéd with Artichokes, morels and basil while i had the Organic Egg Slow Poached with Maine Lobster and Ramps. Both dishes were excellent. The wifes 2nd course was Atlantic Wild HalibutMi-Cuit with Hawaiian Prawns, Asparagus and Sauce Vin Jaune. Well done if not a tad boring. My angus beef stroganoff w/mushrooms and potato mousseline was down right delicious. Wife finished w/some chocolate dessert which she finished (surprise) while i enjoyed my fromage. all in all an excellent way to enjoy lunch. The new chef is definitely a lot different than Kerry in a sense that he is a lil more delicate, reminded me of bouley in a way( not as good of course). He used a lot of foams but they all tasted very good.
