I'm thinking of buying an electric skillet. I must admit, before yesterday I never, ever considered that this would be something I'd want, need or use. Now I'm thinking that if I had one, I could use it either out on the deck or in the garage for frying potato latkes, and then my house wouldn't reek of oil for days afterward. But I hate to think of this as a single-use (and so limited, at that) appliance, so I'm wondering what other innovative uses there might be for one. Inspire me -- or, more realistically, help me rationalize this purchase. Thanks!
