In my neverending quest for the perfect Salvadorean place to eat, I took Butterfly's suggestion and went by El Rinconcito on Park Rd. between 13th and 14th. Unless you're looking for this place, you'll never find it cause it's on a small otherwise residential block.
Surprisingly cute inside with spanish tiles and recessed arches in the walls, nice paintings. Would make for a nice date. And a friendly reception to boot!
Had the carne deshilada (shredded beef)made crispy with a gentle coating of egg before a finish in the pan. Very nice that. Served with plenty of good things like a block of Salvadorean cheese, a slice of avocado and black beans and rice. Everything is first rate. Their deshilada could stand up to any dish. Really. I am impressed.
