El Rincon

Tried this new place for a quick Mexican chicken taco the other day. Bland.

Because of its location, I went again and ordered something else. I felt like I was acutally in Tijuana because of the food quality. It was culture warp. Odd, but kind of experiencial. Maybe because it was 90 degrees today?

However, this new place is just not good American Mexican. And, they try to be - rather than old authentic.

El Rincon might make it by selling bottled beer to minors (its right next to a mini-market). Four guys were having a great time flirting with the waitress and drinking bottled beer. It was quite festive. Another youthful guy came in and just bought some beer and left. But, El Rincon will never make it for the food.

The previous Mexican restaurant's interior in still in tact and quite lovely, giving a great visual impression.
