el raigon-- argentinian restaurant in north beach

3 friends and I tried El Raigon this past Friday night.
Overall, the food was good however, the service is not great. They are fairly new (about 3 months I think), so hopefully things will get better. It is a small restaurant.

We had a reservation and we waited 45 minutes. They have a small bar (for 4 people) so they can only serve appetizers to a few waiting (said by them). They were out of several of their dishes when we ordered-- including their only fish dish. It was frustrating. I think they are getting their system in place; the attitude of the staff was very positive.

The good part: We tried the lamb, the tenderloin, the rib eye, and the short ribs. The short ribs were great! Very tasty, thick cut.

The empanadas are tasty filled with spiced ground beef. We also really liked the gambas appetizer. It was in a light wine sauce that was slightly sweet.

Dessert: We ordered the chocolate mousse and the crepes filled with dulce de leche. The crepes were the winner!
